MORE and more private companies are taking the initiative to make sure that matric pupils excel in maths, science and technology.
Sangari South Africa, a provider of education solutions, has iBox, a tool pupils can use to achieve high marks in the subjects which are critically important to our country.
Bez Sangari, Sangari South Africa’s CEO, said preparing every pupil for the final exams is what they aim to do.
He said schools around Mzansi that had not been doing well in maths, science and technology now excelled.
One such school is Phehellang Secondary School in Tamahole, near Parys, in the Free State, that achieved a stunning 100% pass rate in both maths and science, in 2015 and 2016!
Sangari said their educational tool has over 29 000 slides of lessons which made teaching and learning these intimidating subjects enjoyable for both teachers and pupils.
Currently, more than 1 000 schools use their educational tools and more schools will be provided with their iBox tool soon.
Sangari said they were happy that their tool and products were helping more schools achieve good marks in subjects that are most feared by pupils.
“Teachers also use MobiView, our mobile, interactive whiteboard and workspace software, which lets them present media-rich lessons, make notes on any document, picture or video as well as manage any pupil’s tablet computer from the board by means of an interactive pen device.”
Sangari said this year’s matriculants have a good chance of doing even better than last year’s matrics.
