Mpho ‘Turbo’ Seforo and his trainer, Pius Dipheko, prepare for Nyelisani Thagambega.
GAUTENG light flyweight champion, Mpho “Turbo” Seforo, and Nyelisani “Rose of Limpopo” Thagambega, are already trading verbal punches two weeks ahead of their six-round non-title contest.
Seforo and Thagambega are scheduled to battle it out at the Box and Dine Tournament.
The eagerly awaited tournament will be staged by Xaba Promotions and Events at Ekurhuleni Indoor Centre on 31 March.
The promising duo’s fight is on the undercard of IBO bantamweight championship between Gideon “Hardcore” Buthelezi and Mexican Angel Aviles.
Thagambega claims the provincial title holder is scared of him.
“Turbo does not believe in himself and is scared of me. He knows exactly what I’m going to do to him,” he said.
But Seforo’s mentor, Puis “Dida” Dipheku, has strongly warned Thagambega not to get carried away.
“Seforo is not in his league,” Dipheko stated.
