PREMIER Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed that the MTN8 final between Cape Town City and SuperSport United will be played at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The highly anticipated cup final will be played on Saturday, 14 October at the 85 000 seater.
To reach the final of the tournament City brushed off PolokwaneCity 1-0 in the quarter finals, and went on to defeat Bidvest Wits in a two legged semifinal 3-1 on aggregate. On the other side Matsatsantsa A Pitori got better of Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 and Maritzburg United 3-1 on aggregate to set a date with Benni McCarthy's charges.
This will be City’s coach McCarthy first final of his career, and it will be The Citizens second final since they were formed last season.
These two teams will be playing in the final for the second time in two seasons, last season Matsatsantsa lost 2-1 to the Citizens in a Telkom Knockout Final which was played in Polokwane’s Peter Mokaba Stadium.
