MATCH-FIXING REF BANNED FOR LIFE!

GHANAIAN soccer match official, Joseph Odartei Lamptey, was found guilty today by Fifa for unlawfully influencing the result of the World Cup qualifying game between South Africa and Senegal played in November 2016.

According to a report on Timeslive, the other Ghanaian match official under investigation - David Lionheart Nii Lartey Laryea – had the charges against him dismissed.

“Further information concerning the South Africa v Senegal match in question will be provided once the decision becomes final and binding,” FIFA was reported to have said.
