THE coaches marry-go round has began in the National First Division!
Last week, Royal Eagles were the first NFD club to show their coach Allan Freese the door after a poor string of results.
Highlands Park has now done the same after their 1-0 defeat to Mbombela United on Saturday, the lions of the North moved swiftly firing head coach Thierry Molonzo and his assistant Les Grobler, replacing them with former Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars coach Owe Da Gama.
Highlands were relegated from the Absa Premiership at the end of last season after finishing at the bottom of the log with only 27 points from 30 league matches.
They started their new life in the NFD on a high, registering two victories in two opening matches when they defeated Jomo Cosmo 1-0 and Royal Eagles 2-1.
Their following three matches the club could not collect even a single point, losing to new bees Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila as well as University of Pretoria with a same 2-1 score line, which was followed by Mbombela defeat over the weekend which saw the duo of Mulonzo and Grobler being sacked.
Now the question is, this could be the same mistake they did last season?
On their first campaign in the PSL, Highlands fired Allan Freese who promoted them to the Premiership just after five matches in the league where he collected four points in those five encounters.
Highlands confirmed on their twitter account that Da Gama will waste no time as his first task will be on Saturday when they host Ubuntu cape Town FC at Makhulong Stadium (3pm).
