KAIZER Chiefs have not given up on their search of a proven goal scorer as the clubs have invited two players from Cameroon on trial.
Amakhosi who have just a single victory after four Absa Premiership encounters in the 2017/18 campaign, are monitoring Julien Ebah and Christ Mbondi.
Chiefs Football Manager Bobby Motaung recently promised, the search is still on for a good and experienced striker to join Chiefs’ first team. As a result, two Cameroonian forwards are presently training with Steve Komphela’s side.
Quoted from the Club’s website Motaung said: “We continue to assess strikers, we won’t just sign anybody. We need to be satisfied that we have found the right one.”
Ebah was the top scorer in the Cameroon league in 2015 before moving from New Star to Kapaz PFK in Azerbaijan Premier League.
The 25-year-old Mbondi moved from the Bamenda Academy to FC Sion in Switzerland, but played just three first team games before going playing in Thailand, Algerian and Paraguay over the last three years.
At the moment Chiefs have three foreigners on their books this season, Edmore Chirambadare, Gustavo Paez and Teenage Hadebe. This means they still have a space of adding two more foreigners in their squad.
