IT’S a super Sunday in the English Premiership title race!
Fans will be seating on the edge of their seats as the top four teams are pitted against each other in a top-of-the-table clash.
Surprise log leaders, Leicester City and dark horses Tottenham Hotspur, are entering an unfamiliar territory.
Their title ambition will be under scrutiny when the Foxes visit the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium today (2pm).
Spurs face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium later on the day (6.15pm).
The Foxes lead the table with 53 points from 25 games. The Gunners are tied with Tottenham with 48 points in second and third place, while City are a point further behind in fourth place.
The Gunners face their defining moment of the season in the championship race against the Foxes.
Arsene Wenger’s men are hoping to end their 11-year wait for a league title.
There will be no margin for error when the Gunners welcome the high flying Foxes at their fortress.
It will be a test of character for the Foxes, who are going into the game with a stunning 3-1 victory over Man City in their previous league outing.
The Gunners put the Foxes to the sword with a 5-2 drubbing at the King Power Stadium in their first round meeting in September.
But a lot has changed since that victory as the Foxes are unbeaten in seven games.
Former Arsenal skipper, Martin Keown, told the BBC the Gunners have to beat the Foxes to keep their dream of winning the title alive.
Keown said: “I don’t know if today’s game will be as free-flowing as that 5-2 game (earlier in the season), which was an absolutely cracking game because Leicester were so open and Arsenal were not going to back down.
“Leicester showed against Manchester City they have now got the balance right between defence and attack and they protect themselves so much better.
“But if Arsenal score first, then I think it might be another
end-to-end game because Leicester won’t sit back.”
Spurs hammered City 4-1 at the White Hart Lane Stadium in September, but have lost their last two meetings at the Etihad.
