RELEGATION threatened Highlands Park have signed two players and placed six of their players on transfer list.

The PSL rookies announced on their club’s website the capture of defender Siyabonga Nhlapo on loan from Bidvest Wits and striker Moeketsi Sekola from Free State Stars.

However, six players, who have failed to impress Coach Gordon Igesund since he took the reins at the club last year have been put on transfer list. Augustine Leonard, Jemain Christian,  Teboho Kalake, Simphiwe Tshabalala, Thapelo Mathibe, and Jose Garcia have been placed on transfer list.

Highlands are looking to turn things around from their slow start, having only managed to get two wins from 15 matches.

To make matters worse, Igesund’s charges have conceded more goals than any PSL team this season.

The Lions of the North have scored 18 goals from 15 matches in the Absa Premiership but conceded 29 in the process.

Highlands sit second from bottom of the Absa Premiership table with 13 points and face Telkom Knockout champions Cape Town City at Cape Town Stadium on 7 February.

They sit second from bottom of the League table with 13 points and face Telkom Knockout champions Cape Town City at Athlone Stadium on 7 February.
