CHIPPA United have been forced to move house!

The Chilli Boys have decided they will play their future Absa Premiership fixtures in East London and Port Elizabeth this season.

The Chilli Boys played their recent matches at Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane which is 15km from East London.

But Chippa chairman Siviwe Mpengesi revealed yesterday that the Chilli Boys will be relocating from Sisa Dukashe to Absa Stadium in East London, also taking some games to Port Elizabeth.

Chippa made history last December when they decided to move from their Port Elizabeth base to Mdantsane when they hosted their Absa Premiership fixture against Highlands Park last December.

In a statement the club explained: “The club has made the decision to move the games from Sisa Dukashe to Absa Stadium for this season after the ground did not meet the required PSL standards.”

But matches will also be played in Port Elizabeth: “The game between us and Cape Town City scheduled for 22 October that was due to take place at Sisa Dukashe, will now be moved to Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in PE.

“We apologise to our fans, particularly those in the Buffalo City Metro Municipality and surrounding areas, for any inconvenience this decision might have caused.

“We will announce in due course the games that will be played at the Absa Stadium this season,” added Mpengesi.
