CHIEFS SET TO LOCK HORNS AT ATHLONE STADIUM

accreditation

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that they will utilise the Athlone Stadium for their Premiership encounter against Ajax Cape Town on Saturday, 25 February.

The Soweto giants were initially scheduled to take on the Urban Warriors at the Cape Town Stadium. owever due to an annual international music festival happening at the venue - the two teams were forced to find an alternative venue to host their league clash.

Chiefs official twitter account confirmed that the 34 000-seater Athlone Stadium will accommodate the two teams for their league tie.

"The Ajax Cape Town vs. Kaizer Chiefs match taking place next week will now be played at Athlone Stadium and no longer at Cape Town Stadium," the tweet read.

Chiefs got the better of Ajax in the first-round league clash last year courtesy of strikes by Lorenzo Gordinho and George Lebese.
