NATIONAL FIRST DIVISION clubs have continued to drop coaches like hot potatoes.

Before the end of the first round, six coaches were already shown the door by their respective clubs.

Mthatha Bucks have now joined the endless list of teams who have sacked their coaches, which are Santos, Mbombela United, Cape Town All Stars, Black Leopards and Magesi FC.

On Thursday Bucks confirmed that they have parted ways with coach Velile Dyaloyi with immediate effect.

Dyaloyi joined Bucks in November 2015, last season he helped the club to avoid relegation and started the 2016/2017 campaign on a positive note, showing some improvements compared to how they were last season.

The club is currently in position seven in the NFD table, with 21 points from 15 fixures of the first round.

Dyaloyi said he was shocked by the news – because the club was not doing bad since the season started.

He said: “The news came as a surprise to me. I wasn’t expecting it, as we’ve improved since the last season.”

Mbombela are another team that made changes in their coaching department.

Before the end of the first round, Mbombela parted ways with Vusi Mkhatshwa, who led the team to the play-offs last season.

Milton Dlamini was in charge as they were still searching for Mkhatshwa’s replacement.

During the week they announced that former Sivutsa Stars, now known as Royal Eagles coach, Ashwin Sutton, would be in charge of the team.
