Exodus 34:33-35 states that people demanded that Moses put a veil on his face to reduce the appearance of the glory of the Lord upon his face.
People wanted to reduce Moses who had had a divine encounter to their ordinary level. These people did not want Moses to maintain his extraordinary appearance. Many of us today, although we were born with greatness have been reduced to the level of mediocrity because those around us felt uncomfortable with our greatness.
Satan is threatened by greatness and he attempts to destroy or exterminate such individuals. If he fails to kill or destroy such greatness he will at least try to cover it with an evil veil.
I have seen extremely talented individuals covered with the satanic veil of addictions to alcohol or drugs.
Poverty is a wicked satanic veil. Ecclesiastes 9:14-15 attests to this fact: “There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it: Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that man.”
Although this man was full of wisdom, poverty reduced him to an unknown, unimportant and undermined person. Although his wisdom saved the entire community, yet no man remembered him.
Today I uncover your face. By the grace of the Lord, I take away the veil. I take away every black cloth that has been upon your face from years ago; God is about to take that obscurity off and set you free to glow.
