HEBREWS (13:5) says, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; be content with such things as ye have: for he hath, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee”.
The author here is teaching people to be content with what they have. It is in the nature of mankind to desire more and covet what others have attained.
Jealousy breeds all sorts of evil actions such as theft, robbery and witchcraft. On the other hand, people have a tendency to assume the Lord has forsaken them when they see others achieving more than they have.
Generally, people compare themselves with others and presume that they are less fortunate. The Bible assures us that God will never leave us nor forsake us. We cannot use the state of our finances to measure the presence of God.
He is faithful and just, so as He promised in His Word, God will never leave you nor forsake you.
The fact that you are currently unemployed, unmarried, not driving a car or without a house does not mean that Jehovah has forgotten you.
In Jeremiah (29:11), God says He has plans for each and every one of us. These plans are to prosper us and not to harm us. He will surely deliver you out of all afflictions at the appointed time.
