Proverbs 21:20 says: “ Wise people save the nice things they have. Fools use up everything as soon as they get it.” This scripture reveals the difference between the rich and the poor.
In most cases poor people are not poor because of lack of income but because of their attitude towards money. Wise people save while fools squander everything they have. God wants all His people to be rich.
There is undeniable scriptural evidence for this. For example, John 10:10 informs us that Jesus came for us to have life in abundance.
Proverbs 10:20 says the blessing of the Lord makes a person rich; and 2 Corinthians (8:9) says: “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.”
God intended us to have a good life. Child of God, be wise and save money. Do not spend all your monthly income. Most people think your savings is what’s left after buying necessities; the challenge with this thinking is that we never have enough.
In fact, saving is what you determine to put aside before you spend your money. Be wise and put aside money every month. Fools don’t save; therefore do not act foolishly by not saving. God is teaching us this saving secret through tithing.
If you can pay your tithe every month, you can also put a percentage of your income towards saving.
Once you learn to save you will increase your capacity and the chance to be rich.
