The Lord spoke to Jeremiah (1:4-5), saying, “The word of the Lord came to me, saying, Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
The scripture above confirms that God had predestined our lives.
Predestination, in theology, means that all events have been willed by God, usually with reference to the eventual fate of the individual soul.
Synonymous with destiny are the words fate or doom, which also refer to a predetermined state or end. Fate or doom, however, imply an inevitable and usually an adverse outcome.
Destiny implies something foreordained and often suggests a great or noble course or end. This means fate and destiny are antagonistic or contradictory.
John (10:10) tells us of the existence of dual purpose. God came to give us life in abundance while Satan came to steal, kill and destroy.
Therefore, there is a dual predestination of a soul. Satan has predestined our lives for total destruction while Jehovah God has predestined our lives for greatness.
Romans 8 says: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified”. Satan wants to direct you to fate (destruction) while Jehovah wants to direct you to your greater future. Accept Jesus and activate your God-intended destiny.
