STOP YOUR BAD BEHAVIOUR!

accreditation

THE recent rape inside a taxi of a 26-year-old Roodepoort woman, and that of an Orange Farm woman in front of her child, are shocking, unfortunate and raise serious concerns.

The thugs’ behaviour has tarnished the image of the taxi industry, so much so that we’re not sure if taximen are involved.

As a woman who travels by taxi almost every day, I don’t feel safe anymore. We’ve heard of similar attacks before, but we thought they would be dealt with.

But they have now come back to haunt us. This is worrying because many women use taxis to and from work.

We used to believe that hitch-
hiking was more dangerous, but now it seems it’s no different from catching a taxi.

I’d like to urge the taxi industry, cops and communities to stand together and fight this injustice. This is another form of crime that affects us all as communities.

We need to fight this scourge head-on. One rape incident is one too many. No woman deserves to be raped. Women are too precious to be abused.

No child deserves to be molested, because kids are our future. To all rapists and abusers, you must stop your bad behaviour!

According to statistics, the number of women is higher than that of men.

That means that any lonely man should be able to get a woman. Get yourself a woman that you can love and settle down with.
