I was taught at a young age in a rural area that I didn’t belong only to my family, but to the whole community.
I was often told by elders of the village that I wasn’t only my mum and dad’s child. I was actually the child of the village.
This seems to have changed as most elders now don’t care about children outside their own blood families.
Many children are now getting raped and killed.
Some get infected by HIV and others drop out of school.
Let’s protect all kids like we used to do. The future of the country depends on them.
