I’d like to send my heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their kids in the horrific accident that occurred in Ntuzuma, KZN last week.
We’re always warned about the dangers of driving at high speed, but some drivers don’t obey the rules of the road.
Drivers shouldn’t try to overtake other vehicles when it is not safe to do so.
Our kids shouldn’t be transported to school or creche by reckless drivers.
The condition of taxis should be checked before they are used to transport kids.
In most cases, alcohol contributes to road accidents.
What’s even worse is that taxi bosses hire people without driver’s licences to take our kids to school.
I’d like to urge all drivers who lift children to school to drive safely and be vigilant on the roads.
