ALCOHOL ABUSE IS KILLING YOUNG PEOPLE

accreditation

So many parties are hosted during the festive season.

Unfortunately, many young people drink uncontrollably at this time of year.

Alcohol abuse among teenager is a growing problem.

We have to confront the issue because it seems as though the youth cannot have fun without booze.

Some are not even ashamed of drinking in public.

Teenagers are pressured to drink until they are drunk, and often feel the need to be a part of every social gathering.

Many teens do not realise that drinking too much can lead to serious health problem such as alcohol poisoning.

Youngsters also end up in unnecessary debt because they spend their money on alcohol.

The consequences of underage drinking affect everyone.

The aggressive behaviour, violence, damage to property and deaths that result from underage drinking have a negative impact on all of us.

People who start drinking when they are young are more likely to drink in excess throughout their adult lives.

They are also at higher risk of becoming dependent on alcohol later in their lives.

We can’t let the youth develop bad drinking habits at such a young age.

It’s important to arm your children with the information they need to avoid these trials and tribulations.

Preventing underage drinking is not an easy task.

But we have to stand up, face the problem and do something to protect the youth against alcohol abuse. The future of our country depends on this.
