EVEN though her boyfriend is dead, she says he still protects her when she is in danger.

Hlengiwe Lembede (29), from Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni, said whenever the people who killed her boyfriend make trouble for her, her dead boyfriend comes to her rescue and starts fighting on her behalf.

Hlengiwe has marks on her face after being attacked by the people who allegedly shot and killed her boyfriend.

She said they were at home in KwaDukuza, KZN, in February when three gunmen stormed the house and gunned down her lover and his friend.

Hlengiwe was spared.

She claimed since February, people have been attacking her and beating her up.

“They want me dead because I’m a witness, but my boyfriend is protecting me.

“He wants his killers to go to jail.”

She said on 12 March, three men and one woman came to her house and beat her up badly.

She was admitted to hospital and had surgery on her face.

KwaDukuza police spokesman Warrant Officer Johannes Khoza confirmed that cops are investigating cases of murder and assault.

“No one has been arrested yet,” said Khoza.
