COPS used stun grenades to disperse EFF and ANC members who clashed on Adderley Street near Parliament this afternoon.

At least four stun grenades exploded. Pictures from the scene showed people believed to be ANC supporters attacking EFF members with planks broken off public benches.

Some EFF members tried to pull bricks from the paving.

Police were heard through loudhailers instructing protesters to move back, before firing stun grenades and rubber bullets into the crowds.
EFF protesters fled in different directions after two loud bangs. Some protesters were heard screaming while fleeing the scene.

The protesters held placards which read, “Zuma is no longer president but a common criminal arrest him now”.
Some EFF protesters forced their way into a nearby building during the commission. EFF protesters have been seen moving towards St Georges mall.
