WOMAN'S HEAD FOUND IN OPEN FIELD!

accreditation

THE residents of KwaNjobokazi Village near Hammarsdale, west of Durban, are reeling in shock following a gruesome discovery in the area.

The People’s Paper has learnt that a woman’s head was found in an open field.

The head was discovered by a passerby on Wednesday night.

KZN police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Thulani Zwane confirmed the incident.

“Cops in the area have opened an inquest docket,” said Zwane.

Induna Jacob Meyiwa said they were shocked when they heard the news.

“We haven’t heard of any incidents of women disappearing in the area.

“I heard the news late at night, so I didn’t see the head.”

Meyiwa said KwaNjobokazi is a big village, and the head would probably have been identified if residents from all the sections had been alerted.

“This is one of the most peaceful villages in the areas surrounding Durban.

“The only time human body parts were found lying around was in the early ’80s, when political killings were common,” Meyiwa told Daily Sun.

“No such incident ever took place after the 1994 election.”

He said the head was probably dumped in their village by a stranger to get rid of the evidence.

“There is so much cruelty these days. But luckily, we haven’t heard any reported cases of people being killed so cruelly.

“I can’t remember hearing of a missing woman recently.”
