Arrive Alive
AN unknown woman was killed on the R102 near Mt Edgecombe after being run over by a car.
The accident happened this afternoon after numerous motorists reported that a pedestrian was trapped under a vehicle.
When paramedics arrived at the scene they found the woman to be trapped under a white Nissan Tida.
A local tow truck assisted in lifting the vehicle to free the woman.
Paramedics certified her dead upon attending to her.
The driver from Johannesburg informed officers that whilst travelling on the R102 north, he noticed four pedestrians crossing the road, one pedestrian stopped on his path of travel & was run over.
The woman has not been identified, police are still trying to trace her family.
