LERATO Chaka’s love for her family could not protect her from brutal death.
Her husband, Sipho Mothwa, allegedly killed the 32-year-old in a jealous rage on Tuesday evening in their house in Carousel View in Hammanskraal, Tshwane. He then allegedly dragged her body into the spare room before going to sleep in their bedroom.
On Wednesday morning he called community leader Jane Mhlongo and allegedly confessed.
He has not been seen since then.
Mhlongo told Daily Sun that Mothwa told her to call the police.
Lerato’s mum, Sinah, said: “That man was jealous and did not even want my daughter to leave the house,” she said.
Temba police spokesman Constable Herman Moremi said a case of murder had been opened and the suspect was on the run.
Anyone with information on Sipho Mothwa’s whereabouts should contact the Temba police at 012 717 9000.
