VETERAN actor Tumisho Masha had to wait almost the whole day for his case to be heard in the Randburg Magistrates Court yesterday.

The case docket was apparently not brought to court.

Masha spent hours sitting on a benche outside the courtroom and eventually had to leave without taking the stand.

Masha faces charges of malicious damage to property and assault after he allegedly beat up his estranged wife, Zozibini Mtongana.

Unlike most celebrities who hide their faces or slip into court unnoticed, the snazzily dressed Masha posed for journalists.

On several occasions, he was seen walking up and down the court corridors, holding hands with his
lover, Chantal Wagner.

Daily Sun reported last month that Masha, who is out on bail, had said he was willing to be a sacrificial lamb to stand up for innocent men who are accused of abuse.
