THE daughter of world renowned musician Ray Phiri has asked Mzansi people to stop diagnosing her father.
Ray Phiri was admitted to a hospital in Mpumalanga, last week.
Speaking to Daily Sun, her daughter Thuli Phiri confirmed that her father was indeed admitted to hospital but said people should stop spreading rumours about her father.
This is after people claimed that Ray was suffering from lung cancer.
Said Thuli: "People should stop diagnosing my father on social media. The public should also stop spreading rumours that my father has run out of hospital funds."
Asked what the family would like the public and his fan base to help them in this situation, Thuli said, "We would like to be left in peace at the moment and allow the family to deal with the matter privately."
She said he is in good hands and the hospital staff are taking good care of him.
Ray Phiri is part of the internationally recognised group, Stimela, where he is lead vocalist and guitarist.
