FOR more than 10 years, Fire Mochedi (35) has been asking his ancestors to bring him someone to love.
And now his prayers have been answered.
“I started having dreams about a woman waiting for me at a dump site and calling my name. My ancestors told me to go there because she was waiting for me,” said Fire, who lives in Caleb Motshabi in Mangaung, Free State.
He went to the dump one day to collect things to sell when he noticed a dried-out tree trunk.
“I brought it home and noticed it was shaped like a woman, but without a head.
“I then hung a stuffed monkey that I got from church on it.”
He put the trunk in front of his shack and things started happening.
“My door has been busy with women from the kasi coming to visit me,” said Fire.
“I want to paint the trunk one day when I have enough money. I believe it is the reason I get so many woman visitors. I don’t believe muthi was used on it.
“I think it has my ancestors’ power as it brings me good luck.”
When the SunTeam was visiting Fire, there was a woman with him. She said it was the first time she had visited Fire.
“I was on my way to the shop and saw the trunk.
“I came in because I wanted to buy it from him but now I am charmed by his words.”
