WHEN the sun goes down Skhumbuzo Mthethwa dreads it.
The 30-year-old from Lawley, Joburg spends his nights doing battle with bats in his shack!
He told Daily Sun: “This is a serious curse. These things fly over my shack and come in.
“They make a lot of noise and I can’t go to sleep. Every night I fight them off but they keep coming back.”
Skhumbuzo claims he had been struggling with the bats for more than three months and needs help.
“Everything I’ve tried doesn’t work. Last month, I invited a prophet to come and pray for me but I only got rest for a few days,” he said.
“After that the bats came back, kicking and scratching my shack. Some even managed to come inside and fly over me.”
He said the situation is worse when there is no electricity.
“When the power goes off they overpower me because I can’t see where they’re flying and how many of them there are. They are black and brown, which makes it difficult to spot them in the dark.”
Traditional healer Mahlinza Dlamini said: “There could be two things going on here. It could be that an ex-girlfriend wants him back and is sending these things to frighten him.
“It could also be evil people who are jealous of him and want to see him unhappy.
“All I know is that this can only be fixed by a powerful inyanga who knows what he’s doing.”
