An angry group of pupils torched the accused teacher’s belongings at his house on the school grounds on Thursday.

THE teacher suspended for allegedly making a video of himself poking a pregnant schoolgirl is on the run.

The story of the suspended pervert teacher from a KZN high school appeared on Daily Sun’s front page on Friday after the video went viral on social media.

In the video, the teacher is seen poking a heavily pregnant pupil (16) who is said to be in grade 11.

Lieutenant-Colonel Thulani Zwane said: “The suspect is still at large. No arrest has been made at this stage.

“We appeal to residents to give us information about his whereabouts.”

He said the number of sexual assault and rape cases against him have risen to two and are being investigated by the Dundee family violence, child protection and sexual offences unit.

Education spokesman Muzi Mahlambi told Daily Sun the teacher was suspended immediately after the department’s visit to the school on Thursday afternoon.

“We might see more suspensions in the next two weeks pending the ongoing investigation, as pupils have come forward with information that there were more teachers involved in similar acts,” said Mahlambi.

Angry pupils are demanding that the education department addresses the matter as they are tired of teachers poking schoolgirls.

Before protesting, they torched the teacher’s house to show their anger at his behaviour towards young girls.

One pupil told Daily Sun the teacher may have made as many as seven girls pregnant since arriving at the school in 2010.

Pupils threatened not to go to school until the arrest of the teacher, whose Facebook posts are mostly about sex.
