THE Southern African Development Community (SADC) will meet on Tuesday, to discuss Zimbabwe’s political crisis.
According to the Presidency, President Jacob Zuma, in his capacity as Chair of SADC will attend the Summit of the SADC Organ Troika plus.
The summit will take place in Luanda, Angola.
President Joao Lourenco of Angola, who is the Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security will host the Summit.
The summit was expected to discuss the unfolding developments in Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile, the embattled Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe was given a deadline of 12 P.M on Monday to step down, however, the for Mugabe to step down past, as he defied for the second time, the ruling party's command to end his 37-year rule.
The ruling party in Zimbabwe threatened to impeach Mugabe if he didn't step down as the President of the country.
It is expected for Zimbabwe's ruling party, Zanu-PF to begin with the impeachment proceedings on Tuesday and the takes place.
