DISCO music king Eric (Penny Penny) Nkovani and Xitsonga music legend Dr Thomas Chauke are fighting music piracy.
The world renowned music legends say enough is enough.
Chauke and Penny Penny have launched a campaign to stop the illegal sales of CDs on the streets of Giyani and Malamulele.
The two musicians have joined hands with other local musicians to demand that the South African Police services(SAPS) arrest street vendors better known as "Ma Ten Ten".
Penny Penny said they are in talks with the provincial Department of Arts and Culture to come on board.
"The Department of Arts and Culture must join hands with SAPS to ban the sale fake cd's on the streets". He said.
Penny Penny went on to stress that their music should only be sold through the available legal channels.
Chauk said it is painful to see the "Ma Ten Ten" selling music they worked hard to produce for only R10 a CD.
"We are going to mobilise artists across the country to join us and fight this scourge," said Chauke.
He called on the public to act in solidarity and stop buying fake CDs.
Meanwhile poet Mzwakhe Mbuli in 2006 led Operation Dudula, that went around the streets of Joburg and confiscated the fake cds.
