FOR the past 11 years, on the 15 of every month Lebo Mogano (39) of Phomolong in Mamelodi East is sick for a week.

During that week she cannot eat or walk. Her whole body aches.

Lebo, who lives with her boyfriend, Willy Thutse, toldthe People’s Papershe has no hope.

“I think it is better to drink gale phirimi and die. I have been to sangomas, prophets, doctors and churches but I don’t get better. Instead my situation is getting worse,” she said.

“I have finished my mother’s money trying to get help. I cannot work because of my condition.”

Lebo trained as a sangoma in 2012, but said she had learned nothing.

“I was told that I would get better after training as a sangoma, but nothing has changed.”

Willy told the paper he is afraid Lebo will kill herself.

“I’m losing hope. We have been everywhere, but she does not get help,” he said.

“She has two daughters who need her and I know many people read Daily Sun and can perhaps help her,” Willy said.

Prophet Seiletji Mangena said Lebo had not been cleansed properly after giving birth.

“She needs to be cleansed. And she has trained for the wrong thing. She has to be a prophet, not a sangoma. Her ancestors want her to be a prophet,” he said.
