THE wonderful age of smartphones has been helpful to many people in relationships.
But as Charlotte “Charlie” Gumbi (30) of Dobsonville, Soweto, discovered, it can also make your life a living hell.
This comes after the nude pictures of herself that she sent her lover. It turned him into an obsessive cyber bully!
Their normal relationship went from casual to psycho in an instant, with him sending her rude messages and threatening to spread her nude pictures on social networks.
Words like: “F#*k you for the last time. Lousy bitch” and “you should’ve said you sucking new dick you lousy f#*k” are captured as part of a stream of messages on her phone from her lover.
Charlie said they had dated casually, having sex on a number of occasions. But when Charlie sent him photos of her naked body, he changed.
“He started calling me 10 times a day and acting possessively.
“It got to the point where he’d stand in front of my house and laugh like a crazy man, so I asked him to stop contacting me,” she said.
Her lover didn’t get the message, though, and in December, he started sending her mixed messages, from “I miss you” and “I love you” to “f#*k you, lousy bitch”.
When Daily Sun called the guy, he said: “I’m done,” and hung up.
Lieutenant Kay Makhubela of Gauteng police said they couldn’t comment until Charlie opened a case of harassment.
Charlie has in the meantime obtained a restraining order against her ex which she’ll be delivering before she goes to the cop shop to open charges.
