THE father was not maintaining his child and all hell broke loose recently when he tried to see the kid.

The man was moered by his girlfriend’s mother, father and brother for not paying papgeld!

He claimed they also pointed a gun at him during the assault and warned him not to try and see the child again.

He then went to the police to open a case against the family.

Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya of Kagiso Police Station told Daily Sun the incident happened in the area at about 6.40pm on Friday. He confirmed three members of the family were later arrested for alleged assault and pointing a firearm.

“The complainant said that on arrival at his girlfriend’s house she opened the door and just stared at him. She called her father, but instead her mum appeared and started shouting at the complainant,” Sibiya said.

“Suddenly the father appeared with his 19-year-old son and they attacked the complainant. During the assault the son drew a firearm and pointed it at the complainant.

“The cops launched an investigation and later arrested the girlfriend (27), her mum (49) and her brother (19) at their home.”

Sibiya said the 19-year-old made a brief appearance in Kagiso Magistrates Court on Monday and he was due to appear again soon.

His mum and sister were released on a warning to appear at their next court date.
