MAMA Irene Netsitandani is very happy . . . but she is also very tired.
Since the story about her muthi mageu for men appeared in Daily Sun on Friday, she has been struggling to keep up with the orders.
She said her phone has been ringing non-stop and the corner where she sells her mageu has been filled with men.
“I’m exhausted,” joked Irene from Diepkloof, Soweto.
She said he hasn’t slept since Friday because she has to make a lot of mageu. She can’t rest during the day either because men keep coming back for more.
“I used to sell about two 20-litre containers a day, but now the number has tripled,” she said.
She has even asked her sister, Dina Thathaisa (26), to help her.
“I have even received calls from KZN and Cape Town. They want me to courier my mageu to them.”
When Daily Sun visited mama Irene yesterday, a group of men were in line to buy her mageu, while others were already drinking the brew.
Joe Nuvunga (52) from Naturena, south of Joburg said he didn’t waste any time when he saw the article.
“I went looking for mama Irene and I found her. I knew my problems were over,” he said.
“What problems?” asked the SunTeam.
“Problems with my machine. Ever since I drank her mageu on Friday, I see a huge difference at home.
“On Saturday, my wife of 30 years woke me up with a cup of coffee and some biscuits. That hasn’t happened for 10 years.”
Christopher Sibiya (36) said it was the first time he had tried the drink.
“I’m hoping this will bring back all my lost happiness.”
