A HUSBAND left his fiancee and children alive and well when he went to work.

But when he returned he made a shocking discovery. His family were all dead.

The woman and two children were found dead in their house in Walmer Links, Port Elizabeth.

Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg said: “A case of murder has been opened after a 22-year-old woman, a boy (5) and a baby girl of six months were found dead in a house.

“The husband was returning from work when he found his fiancee and two kids dead on Friday evening.

“He knocked at the door several times without anyone answering the door.

“He then broke a window to gain access.

“Once inside, he found the lifeless bodies on top of the bed. They had no injuries.”

At this stage the cause of death is still not known.

It will be determined once a post mortem has been conducted.

All the forensic evidence was collected from the scene.

Police are pleading with anyone who has information to go to their nearest police station.
