WHEN Elizabeth Moloto decided to rent a portion of her yard out after losing her job, she had no idea what she was in for.

Before she knew it, her yard was piled high with soil . . .

The 50-year-old from Braamfischerville in Soweto told Daily Sun she was gatvol!

Her tenant, she claimed, had completely taken over her property since moving in three weeks ago.

Elizabeth said she was surprised to see two dump trucks filled with soil in her driveway when her tenant, Deno Zitha (27), started erecting his shack.

She said there was much more soil than was needed to make a foundation for a shack.

“Since then I’ve been struggling to get him to remove the soil. Whenever I ask him to take it away, he becomes disrespectful.

“My friends have to park their cars outside when they visit. I’ve been living here for 12 years and not once has my yard looked this untidy. He’s overstepping his bounds.”

Deno told the SunTeam that, out of the goodness of his heart, he bought the soil to flatten the yard as there were holes in the ground.

“When she made it clear she didn’t want it, I was surprised because she clearly didn’t see it was good for her yard.”

But he promised to remove it as soon as he had money.
