MY GIRLFRIEND BEAT ME UP!

accreditation

WILLY Mashabela was in a vat-en-sit relationship for four years.

The 33-year-old from Alaska in Mamelodi, east of Tshwane, said his live-in lover has been abusing him for the past two years. Willy said his problems started after he caught her in bed with another man last January.

Willy arrived home to find his shack locked and heard people poking inside!

When he realised it was his girlfriend, he broke down the door – but his girlfriend allegedly beat him to a pulp.

“She later blamed her behaviour on booze and said it would never happen again, and I believed her,” he said.

Willy said that was only the beginning of his living nightmare.

“I wash her clothes, cook for her and clean the shack. She beats me up for not getting her white clothes whiter! I have become a laughing stock for my neighbours,” he said.

The 26-year-old girlfriend said: “Willy is crazy. He didn’t give me money. He pushed me into the arms of other men.”

Spokesman for the Commission for Gender Equality, Javu Baloyi said: “Willy must report the matter at our offices. We will discuss the steps he can take.”
