MICHAEL Kgabo suffers whenever nature calls.
The 61-year-old said his urine burnt like a hot poker! He said he blamed the department of health because a doctor at Steve Biko Hospital allegedly prescribed the wrong medicine.
Michael claims that the medication left him suffering from kidney poisoning.
On Sunday on his way to church, Michael decided to go to the Mamelodi East cop shop to open a case against the department.
The father of four from Section 17 in Mamelodi East, Tshwane, said instead he got a punch in the face!
Michael also claimed that his Bible was torn up and thrown out of the charge office.
He said the policeman who assaulted him told him to follow his Bible and never come back!
“I was embarrassed and disappointed. Instead of protecting me, the cop assaulted me.”
Michael said he was shocked that the cop didn’t even respect the Bible.
“I used the Bible as a shield, thinking he would be afraid to lay a hand on it.
“But he threw it out of the charge office and punched me,” said Michael.
He said the police officer told him he was mad for wanting to open a case against the department and accused him of laying too many charges, saying police were getting tired of him.
“I want him to get arrested for what he did.”
Mamelodi East police spokesman Captain Michael Mbewe said a case of common assault has been opened against the cop, and that police were investigating the incident.
