SHORTLY after dumping the body of a murdered man on Monday, a group of thugs started arguing and one of them shot his friend.
The five men were seen driving in a white VW Polo and a Toyota Corolla before dumping the body on the side of the road next to the Soweto Boxing Academy in Nancefield.
Residents said while they were still in shock after the body was dumped, the men started arguing . . .
One of them pulled out a gun and shot his friend!
A resident said: “This is what we call revenge at its best.”
Residents said they believed the spirit of the victim, who had been shot, didn’t want to die alone so he made the thugs fight.
Another resident said: “One minute two cars stopped on the side of the road, and the next a body is dumped. After that, people are arguing, one of them is shot and the others flee.
“This shows people have lost ubuntu. To them, killing someone is nothing. It’s like killing a fly.”
Moroka police spokesman Captain Mpande Khoza confirmed the incident.
He said when cops arrived at the scene, they found two bodies.
“The motive for the killing is unknown. Cops are looking for four suspects believed to be from the East Rand Sotho Hostel or around the Diepsloot area.”
Khoza appealed to the public to assist the police with any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.
“Anyone with information should call Detective Warrant Officer Hoyohoyo Baloyi on 079 085 3531 or Crime Stop on 08600 10 111,” said Baloyi.
