A FURIOUS Isaac Phoku claims he was the victim of police brutality.
Isaac claims he was shot with rubber bullets by cops last Monday while they were chasing protesters in Riba Cross Village, Limpopo.
The 34-year-old told Daily Sun: “Cops were sent to disperse a crowd protesting for service delivery.
“I told them I was not involved in the protest but that didn’t stop them from shooting 16 rubber bullets at me.”
He claims police were having fun shooting at residents.
“I was walking home with my friend when I heard gunshots and the next moment cops were all over us,” claimed Isaac. Hot klaps and fists flew before I was shot.
“I didn’t even try to fight back but the cops left me to die in a pool of blood. My whole body is painful and the people who did this are walking free as if nothing happened.”
Police spokesman Constable Kgaleke Mampuru said: “No case was reported.
“We only follow up if a case is reported. The complainant must come forward for us to investigate.”
