LOOKING up from a hole in the ground, Nthabiseng Ralethe (36) told Daily Sun she has given up building a shack for herself and her kids.
She said her former mastandi, Nomonde Klaas, followed her around to demolish her shacks.
Nthabiseng said she had done it twice already!
On Friday she took Daily Sun to the hole in the ground in Zandspruit near Honeydew, Joburg, where she has been sleeping for the past week.
“During the day I stay at my friend’s shack, but at night I sneak here with my two children to sleep,” she said.
“In the morning I take my children to prepare them for school at my friend’s place.
“I do not want to be a burden to my friend because her shack is too small and she lives with her boyfriend,” said Nthabiseng.
She said she does not know what Nomonde wants from her.
“She kicked me out of her yard, so I left to erect my shack in an open space not far from her house.
“She came with her son and destroyed it,” said Nthabiseng.
“I spoke to the community leader, Kenneth Lekalakala, and he offered me space to erect a shack.”
But that was also broken down when she wasn’t home.
“I rented in that mastandi’s yard for about three years. We had an argument about my shack and she told me to leave and I left,” she said.
“I want Nomonde to explain to me what it is that makes her hate me so much. It seems she is against everything I do.”
Daily Sun spoke to Nomonde, who confirmed Nthabiseng used to rent at her place. She denied she was after Nthabiseng and refused further comment: “You can write whatever you like,” she said.
