Joe Maila
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Health Joe Maila has died.
Reports indicate that Maila died at a shooting range following a shooting accident.
Gauteng Cops said Maila allegedly shot himself at a shooting range in Silverton, Pretoria on Thursday evening.
Police have opened an inquest docket.
Health minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi said : "It is with shock and a profound sense of sadness that I inform you of the untimely passing-on of Maila."
Motsoaledi said details of his memorial and funeral services will be announced as soon as they receive information from his family.
