GUGU Zulu’s body arrived back in Mzansi.
According to reports, the body of the former racing car driver and adventurer was returned from Tanzania last night.
Gugu was one of a 42-member Trek4Mandela team that climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for sanitary pads. He was apparently suffering flu-like symptoms and was struggling to breath when he suddenly passed away on Monday.
His wife Letshego was with him when he died. She returned with his body last night.
Family spokesperson Tseliso Motloheloa is reported as saying: "We initially expected the body to arrive today (Friday) but the documents were sorted out, and we were told that he was put on a plane late yesterday afternoon, and arrived last night."
A memorial service for Gugu will take place on 26 July at the Kyalami race track, north of Joburg.
His funeral service will be held on 27 July at the Rhema Bible Church in Randburg. Both are open to the public.
