GOGO Jabulile Cebekhulu has been having sleepless nights.
Her granddaughter, Nozipho Bhulose (16), has been missing since 12 August.
The gogo (67), from Madwaleni Village in Mtubatuba, northern KZN said Nozipho left home without telling anyone where she was going.
“On the day Nozipho left home, she was normal. She even asked me if I’d like something to eat.
“She prepared soft porridge and left it in my bedroom. She was neatly dressed and when I asked her if she was going somewhere, she said she wasn’t.”
Jabulile said Nozipho walked out of the house and that was the last time she was seen.
“I thought she would come back later, but she didn’t.”
The following morning the gogo reported to the cops that she was missing.
After a few days, gogo received an SMS from Nozipho.
It read: “Greetings, gogo. I know you’re hurt but I’m fine. I am still alive and I’ll come back home.”
Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Thulani Zwane said: “A missing person’s docket has been opened by KwaMsane cops. Anyone with information should call Constable Gabi Buthelezi on 083 588 2339 or 035 551 9011.”
