WHEN a man proposed love to Siphiwe Nkalanga she saw red.
She moered him so hard it put him in hospital.

The tough gogo from Thambokhulu near Malelane in Mpumalanga has never had sex.
Worried sister Joyce (52) said the family thought that life without a man was making Siphiwe (62) suffer.
“Since she beat that man up all other men in the village have been too scared to speak to her,” she said.
“They feared a beating, even though some loved her.”
Joyce said a doctor told them three years ago that a lack of sex was affecting Siphiwe’s eyesight.
“He said she must have sex to make her body produce hormones called serotonin and oxytocin,” she said. “He said these are love hormones that heal depression.
“Even at her age, I want to see her fall in love and live happily like other women.”
But Siphiwe said: “I don’t care what the doctor said.
“I have nothing against men, as long as they stay far, far away from me.
“I will never get married. I want to stay a virgin forever.”

He’s a happily married man and a father of grown children who doesn’t want to be named.
“I think she attacked me as there was something wrong with her,” he said.
“My sin was pouring my heart out. I truly loved her and thought she could be my wife.
“But she turned me into a joke. I was the laughing stock of the village for years. And her reputation as a man beater spread like wildfire. I’m still scared of her! So are all the other men who grew up with her.”
