A 16-YEAR-OLD girl who went missing on July 2 was found dead.
Rithandzu Manganyi left her home to go relieve herself in the nearby bushes, next to the river.
But she never returned and searches for her yielded no positive results.
Her family was hoping she will one day return home safely.
But the worst has happened.
Her decomposing body was found in the bushes near a river today.
Her killers also cut out her private parts and both the cops and the community suspect her murder is muthi related.
Her body was noticed by young boys who went fishing in the same river.
Now the community of Ngubani village outside Malamulele in Limpopo is saddened by the incident.
They say ritual killings have become the scourge in their village.
This is because a decomposed body of another girl, Precious Baloyi (20), of Dakari village was also discovered in the bushes previously.
One of the community leaders Ali Simango said the community of Mkhomi is in a state of shock about what's happening in the village.
He said all stakeholders are going to meet today to discuss a way forward about these killings. Another local leader Bishop Baloyi said the whole community is scared about the safety of young people, especially girls.
Provincial police commissioner, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba called upon communities to rally around and isolate these merciless and faceless individuals who seem to be hellbent on destroying the moral fiber of the society and create fear in the minds of peaceful and progressive South Africans.
"The police will not rest until all perpetrators and their accomplices are brought to book", said Ledwaba
.He said though the motive for this murder is unknown ritual murder cannot be ruled out.
