REABETSWE Moabelo (23) is living a clean life after being a drug addict for eight years.
The young man from Eersterust in Tshwane thanks the Victory Outreach Ministry for giving him a second chance in life.
He said that he became a nyaope and booze slave at the age of 13.
“At home I was getting everything I wanted, even money.
“That led me to think that I was independent and I started smoking dagga and drinking booze.”
He said it eventually affected his performance at school.
“At the age of 16 I quit school.”
Reabetswe, who is originally from Rustenburg in the North West, said in 2010 he started living on the streets.
“I was involved in housebreaking, shoplifting and robbing people with dangerous weapons.”
He was arrested several times for the crimes he committed.
In 2013 his gogo introduced him to Victory Outreach Ministry and his life took a serious turn.
“It’s not an easy life to be addicted to drugs. But I’m grateful to the ministry for giving me a second chance. My life has changed for the better. I’m now a Christian.”
His mum, Lebohang Moabelo said she was happy that her son was living a clean life.
