FOUR BUST FOR BURNING HOUSES!

COPS in Mecklenburg have bust four suspects, between the ages of 17 and 55 in connection with the burning of houses in Ntswaneng Village‚ outside Burgersfort.

The damage to property was sparked by the death of an 18-year-old who died in December last year.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said some community members suspected that the deceased was poisoned by one of the victims whose houses were burnt.

Four families have since been displaced from their homes at the village.  

"Seventeen members from three of the four families that have been displaced, were temporarily accommodated at the local police station," Mojapelo said.

Mojapelo said among the arrested suspects, a 55-year-old father of the deceased is included. 

The suspects will appear in Praktiseer Magistrate Court soon, on charges of public violence and Arson.
