A ticket seller has been arrested for selling fake tickets ahead of the Soweto Derby taking place on Saturday afternoon.
The PSL confirmed the arrest via their official twitter account, saying that the suspect had been arrested outside the FNB stadium ahead of the clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, selling counterfeit tickets.
They said the suspect had been arrested and taken to a nearby police station, where he would remain in custody for the reainder of the weekend.
Meanwhile, JMPD have advised road users that there is a road traffic diversion in place today on roads around FNB Stadium
“Only vehicles with parking tickets will be allowed passed the check points on Nasrec Road. Soweto Highway, Randshow Road and the N17,” said chief superintendent, Wayne Minnaar.
Minnaar said motorists could use the N12, New Canada road and Chris Hani road as alternative routes. He said the roads would be reopened tonight at 7pm .
